The Person al Banker, is a full‑time, permanent position located in the heart of Kirkwood, MO
. In this role, you will create a positive customer experience, build trusting relationships with customers in the community, and provide banking solutions to help clients meet their financial goals. You must have a positive attitude, be a team player, and actively listen to clients' financial needs in order to refer them to the appropriate banking product or specialty representative to meet their unique needs.
Additionally, you must adapt well to the changing banking environment, handle customer service complaints, provide solutions, maintain the security of customer information, and manage your assigned teller cash drawer responsibly.
- Client
Experience:
Deliver a unique client experience aimed at improving client financial well‑being and creating loyalty while increasing share of wallet. As a Personal Banker, you will process a variety of client transactions, educate clients on banking solutions and alternative products available for their financial needs, and identify new banking opportunities during client interactions, referring to specialist as appropriate. - Referrals: Identify opportunities through meaningful conversations with clients and make appropriate referrals to branch staff, bank partners, or other banking specialists.
- Lobby Engagement: Perform lobby engagement activities to connect with clients and position First Bank products to meet their needs. Educate clients on options for managing financial banking transactions by leveraging technology, tools, and resources.
- Product and Procedural Knowledge: Apply bank product and procedural knowledge to address client requests and support teller operations.
- Operational Compliance: Adhere to all bank policies and procedures, demonstrate sound judgment within established limits, and ensure teller and branch daily operations and maintenance transactions are completed efficiently and accurately.

Work Hours:
Able to work Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Wednesday and Thursday from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and a rotating Saturday from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. - Other Duties: Perform other bank teller duties as assigned.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: At least one year of relevant customer service or sales experience preferred; prior bank teller or banking experience is strongly preferred.
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Ability to process teller transactions and information with high levels of accuracy.
- Addressing Client Needs: Knowledge of and the ability to recognize and be sensitive to the different perspectives and priorities of different bank customers.
- Digital Awareness: Shares, shows, and supports clients on a variety of technological digital and online banking tools and resources, allowing them to explore solutions to achieve their financial goals and well‑being.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors in a bank setting.
- Critical Thinking: Knowledge of and ability to utilize processes, tools, and techniques for detecting, addressing, and preventing fraudulent banking situations.
- Managing Multiple Priorities: Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation within a bank teller environment.
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse banking situations.
