Job Overview

Anzac Developments LLC is seeking a highly organized and strategic Finance & HR Manager to oversee the company’s financial operations and human resource functions. This senior leadership role is responsible for managing accounting systems, financial reporting, payroll, compliance, and construction-specific financial processes, while also leading day‑to‑day HR operations including recruitment, employee relations, training, and policy development.

This role is ideal for a construction‑savvy financial professional who thrives in a fast‑paced design‑build environment and enjoys both analytical financial oversight and people‑focused leadership. The Finance & HR Manager will work closely with company leadership to support operational efficiency, compliance, and long‑term growth.

Key Responsibilities – Financial Management
  • Oversee and manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including vendor invoices, customer invoicing, receipts, lien waivers, and collections.
  • Manage bank draws, project financing documentation, and construction draw processes.
  • Reconcile company bank accounts monthly, verify transactions, and manage intercompany transfers.
  • Perform cost accounting and maintain job costing systems, tracking budgets and project costs.
  • Review and analyze project cost reports, prepare variance analyses, and compare results to budgets and financial targets.
  • Maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly/quarterly journal entries.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and review financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Manage WIP reporting and percentage‑of‑completion accounting.
  • Coordinate corporate tax documentation and work with external accountants for timely filings.
  • Develop and monitor internal controls and financial policies to ensure GAAP compliance.
  • Support external audits and prepare required audit schedules.
  • Assist leadership with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial strategy.
  • Manage business registrations, licenses, corporate compliance requirements, and company insurance programs.
  • Track vendor insurance certificates and coordinate project‑specific insurance documentation.
  • Provide financial insight and recommendations to support bidding decisions and operational planning.
Human Resources Management
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and update the Employee Handbook to reflect legal requirements and company standards.
  • Lead recruitment efforts including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, and hiring coordination.
  • Prepare offer letters, employment agreements, and onboarding documentation.
  • Manage onboarding processes including orientation, training coordination, and IT provisioning.
  • Oversee payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with wage and hour laws.
  • Administer commission structures, job profit‑sharing programs, and variable compensation plans.
  • Manage employee relations, PTO tracking, performance issues, disciplinary documentation, and conflict resolution.
  • Drive the annual performance review cycle including goal setting and development planning.
  • Coordinate employee training, professional development, and compliance programs.
