The RN/LPN Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations of an assigned nursing unit. This leadership role ensures the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care while supervising nursing staff, coordinating interdisciplinary services, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day operations of an assigned nursing unit
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff
- Ensure high-quality resident care and positive clinical outcomes
- Complete resident assessments and coordinate care planning
- Monitor physician orders and ensure timely implementation
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with CMS, state, and company regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and infection prevention efforts
- Respond to resident concerns and assist in resolving clinical issues
- Promote a positive, team-oriented culture
- Current Missouri RN or LPN license in good standing
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care experience preferred
- Previous leadership, charge nurse, or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Passion for providing exceptional resident-centered care
