FDOT Bridge Inspector​/Inspector II

What We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced CEI Bridge Inspector for current and future FDOT construction work in Central Florida. Experience with FDOT concrete inspection, drilled shaft, and pile driving is a must. HNTB is looking to grow our local CEI inspection team. This position will be based in Celebration, FL and surrounding area.

• Observe, document, and verify work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans. Confirm procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications.
• Utilize engineering inspection practices to perform standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work.
• Maintain Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor, equipment, quantity of material received, and verified.
• Perform on-site material testing and produce as-constructed sketches as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of construction-related experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

• At least 2 years of verifiable FDOT CEI experience in bridge construction.
• Position ideally suited for local candidates in the area due to the nature of work.
• FDOT certifications (ACI Concrete Field Technician, CTQP Concrete Field Inspector I, CTQP Pile Driving, CTQP Drilled Shaft, CTQP Final Estimates I, Intermediate MOT).
• Proficient in reading and understanding construction plans and specifications.
• Ability to work with others, take direction, and communicate verbally and in writing.
• Willingness to learn.
