Laborer--MasTec Civil Joint Venture Project

we recruit highly skilled individuals for a variety of disciplines in the construction field. A skilled craft worker is an essential cog in the wheel of any superior construction project. Qualified applicants will have experience working on heavy civil, roadway or bridge projects and must be familiar with working from heights and/or manlifts. Your role within the company will include participation in site safety, protection of the environment, and construction of exciting and challenging projects.

• performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy/highway construction projects.
• maintains a clean and well‑organized job site: stores consumable materials properly, picks up debris and waste for proper disposal, maintains equipment appearance, and secures/stores small tools and supplies. Performs materials handling and storage.
• road widening, highway, road/street or bridge build and rehabilitation projects.
• assists foremen and other supervisors as needed.
• laborers may be required to assist with traffic control and/or flagging operations.
• properly secures and stores all tools, equipment, and materials at the end of each work day.
• frequent use of air tools, electric tools (e.g., jack hammers, electric chipping hammers).

• understand and comply with all company safety policies and procedures as well as osha regulations.
• assists with loading and unloading trucks and deliveries.

this is a field‑based role. Employees will work on heavy civil and highway construction sites where noise levels can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

the position requires lifting heavy objects, walking and standing for long periods, and performing physical labor under adverse field conditions. Employees must have good manual dexterity, multilateral coordination, and excellent stamina. The role uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide sustained support without fatigue.

this is a full‑time position with occasional long hours and weekend work. Average +/- 50 hours per week.

the role requires no travel.

• must adhere to osha safety protocol and work in a drug‑free environment.
• must be reliable and have reliable transportation.

• construction industry experience preferred.
• takes full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently.

• must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.
