Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Shifts per Week: 3
Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts (options for 8s, 10s, 16s, and 24s; typical 7am start)
Call: Required — weekday (3p or 5p to 7a) and 24-hour weekend calls, rotated 1 week on/1 week off
Setting: Level II Trauma Center with 10 operating rooms — high-acuity environment supporting anesthesia jobs including trauma, cardiac, and complex general surgery
Care Team Model: Collaborative care team with 24 CRNAs and 8 MDs; approximately 90% supervision
EMR: Epic
Estimated Weekly Salary: $11,890 - $12,530
Who We're Looking For
Board Certified in Anesthesiology (MD or DO)
Cardiac Anesthesia Fellowship and TEE Certification required (Cardiac Anesthesiologist experience preferred)
Active Florida medical license and DEA (must be obtained prior to presentation)
Minimum 1 year of recent clinical anesthesia experience (cardiac and general cases preferred)
Current ACLS, ATLS, TB screening and flu vaccine within the past 12 months
Clean professional record (no legal, malpractice, or pending cases)
Out-of-state candidates only (must provide copy of driver's license as proof of residence)
Must not have worked at this site or any affiliated site within the past 24 months or within 75 miles
Skills checklist and current CV required with application
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive perioperative anesthesia care for a broad case mix: cardiac, general surgery, OB/GYN, ENT, urology, orthopedics, spine, vascular, and GI
Perform regional and neuraxial techniques, including epidurals and spinals
Deliver transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) for cardiac cases as indicated
Supervise and collaborate closely with CRNAs within a care team model
Participate in structured on-call rotation, including weekday and 24-hour weekend calls
Document accurate, timely anesthesia records in Epic EMR
Support high-quality perioperative and trauma care in a busy Level II Trauma Center
