Job Purpose

As a Middle/High School Science Teacher, you will create and implement a flexible program and classroom environment favorable to student learning and personal growth, develop lesson plans consistent with established guidelines, establish effective rapport with students, staff, and parents, and motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge for a strong educational foundation.

You Will Impact Education
  • Plan and implement a program of instruction that adheres to the company’s philosophy, goals, and objectives as outlined in the adopted courses of study.
  • Create purposeful lesson plans that maximize teaching strategies and student time on task.
  • Present subject matter to maximize learning and provide real‑world, application‑based examples.
  • Review student records to understand individual abilities and needs, maintaining accurate and complete records.
  • Maximize educational achievement for each student.
  • Use a variety of student learning modalities and differentiated instruction.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessment of student learning frequently.
  • Generate progress reports and refer students with suspected learning problems to appropriate support personnel.
  • Assign lessons, correct student work, and review oral presentations.
  • Coordinate class field trips when required.
  • Prepare students for state‑required achievement assessments.
  • Stay current in subject matter knowledge and learning theory, sharing knowledge to improve the curriculum.
  • Assist in curriculum revision and in selecting instructional materials.
  • Be acquainted with supplemental services that benefit students.
Provide a Classroom Environment Conducive to Learning
  • Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity.
  • Maintain positive rapport with students, demonstrating patience and nurturing growth.
  • Ensure the classroom is clean, safe, and displays student work appropriately.
  • Implement all policies governing student conduct.
  • Develop reasonable rules in accordance with CSUSA policy and maintain order fairly.
Instructional Planning
  • Develop lesson plans consistent with guidelines and goals.
  • Plan individual and group learning activities that meet objectives and student needs.
  • Prepare for classes and provide evidence of preparation upon request.
  • Collaborate with staff during curriculum planning meetings.
  • Incorporate diagnostic information into planning as required by IEPs.
  • Take precautions to protect supplies, equipment, and materials needed for instruction.
School/Community Relations
  • Establish cooperative relations with parents and guardians.
  • Communicate clearly, consistently, and positively with parents.
  • Cooperate with administration and staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student records.
  • Participate in parent communication activities and extracurricular events as required.
Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Possess strong time‑management and organizational skills.
  • Maintain effective relationships with teachers, students, parents, and the community.
  • Show excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and influencing skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Student Information System (SIS), and email.
  • Seek continual improvement, accuracy, and thoroughness.
  • Implement best practices and positive character education consistently.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
  • Valid teaching certification appropriate to the subject and grade level.
  • One to three years of successful teaching experience (including internship).
  • Combination of education and experience equivalent.
  • Command of grades/subject‑specific content and learning theory.
  • Commitment to company values.
  • Successful criminal and employment background check.
  • Effective instructional delivery and communication skills.
  • Adherence to the Code of Ethics for the Education Profession.
  • Approval of alternative qualifications by CSUSA.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
  • No physical exertion required.
  • Frequent activity may cause some stress.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds, or 10 pounds as needed.
