Valencia College is now hiring a full-time Welding Instructor
to join the Continuing Education team within the Accelerated Skills Training program.
Valencia's
Welding program prepares students for employment in the welding industry through extensive hands‑on training, with approximately 90% of instruction taking place in the lab. Students develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to safely set up equipment, interpret weld symbols, fabricate welded assemblies, troubleshoot welding applications, and perform industry-standard welding processes.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong hands‑on experience in welding, fabrication, and related industry practices.
- Knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, materials, and safety standards.
- Ability to share technical knowledge and provide effective hands‑on instruction to students.
- Experience teaching adult learners is a plus
- Industry credentials/certifications preferred (e.g., Certified Welding Inspector, American Welding Society, Certified Welding Educator); candidates without certifications must be willing and able to obtain required credentials within one year.

Develops, plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct students learning in keeping with Valencia College’s learning centered values and in a manner that meets the essential competencies of a Valencia College educator.
