We are seeking a skillful and dedicated 2026-27 Seventh Grade English Language Arts ELA Teacher to join our elementary faculty. Core responsibilities:
- Plan, internalize, and facilitate standards-aligned, rigorous lessons tailored to diverse learning styles.
- Implement formal and informal assessments, analyze student data to pivot instruction, and update grade books weekly.
- Establish strong, cooperative partnerships with families, providing weekly updates on student progress.
- Uphold a positive classroom behavior management system aligned with school-wide character initiatives.
- Utilize technology effectively as an educational tool and host targeted tutoring sessions to meet individual student needs.
- Dedicate 40+ hours per week to instruction, meetings, professional development, and school community duties.
Key qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution. - Certification:
Active Florida State Teaching Certification. - Skills:
Strong classroom management, lesson adaptation, organization, and interpersonal communication. - Compliance:
Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
Preferred:
- Prior instructional experience in a K-12 classroom setting.
- Familiarity with Florida learning standards and FAST exam preparation.
