Armitage Architecture, Inc. (Armitage) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will assist in the design and development of building systems for a variety of infrastructure projects. Responsibilities- Lead in the design and development of building mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, controls, and fire protection (a plus).
- Perform field investigations for use in designs and construction support.
- Create and review technical drawings and specifications.
- Perform engineering calculations and models for use in system design.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including electrical engineers, architects, project managers, and construction managers.
- Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and team meetings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Help identify and resolve engineering issues and challenges.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD software (Revit a plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with hydronic system design, HVAC systems, and building control systems preferred.
- Licensed PE
- Experience working with federal agencies a plus
- Occasional travel to project sites.

$165,000 - $180,000
