The successful candidate will assist in the design and development of building systems for a variety of infrastructure projects. • Lead in the design and development of building mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, controls, and fire protection (a plus).
• Perform field investigations for use in designs and construction support.
• Create and review technical drawings and specifications.
• Perform engineering calculations and models for use in system design.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including electrical engineers, architects, project managers, and construction managers.
• Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and team meetings.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Help identify and resolve engineering issues and challenges.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD software (Revit a plus).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with hydronic system design, HVAC systems, and building control systems preferred.

• Licensed PE
• Experience working with federal agencies a plus

• Occasional travel to project sites.

$165,000 - $180,000
