Job Title: Systems Engineer - Automic Automation
Employment Type: 12-Month W2 Contract
Location: Hybrid - Celebration, FL (2 Days Onsite / 3 Remote)
Pay Rate: $85-$92/hour (DOE)

Russell Tobin is partnering with a global leader in hospitality and entertainment technology to hire a Systems Engineer - Automic Automation
. This role supports enterprise automation platforms powering critical operations across maritime and shoreside environments.

You’ll work in a large-scale infrastructure environment focused on workflow automation, optimization, and cloud migration.

• Design, develop, and support Automic workflows for enterprise business processes
• Optimize workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Migrate workflows from on-prem environments to cloud platforms
• Develop automation scripts using Power Shell and Bash
• Integrate workflows with Service Now and monitoring tools
  
  Document workflows and operational processes
• Partner with application and infrastructure teams
• Implement best practices in job scheduling and automation

• 10 Automic instances
• 400+ enterprise workflows
• Hybrid maritime & shoreside operations

• 5+ years supporting Automic Automation Engine or similar schedulers (e.g., JAMS)
• 5+ years in Systems Engineering / IT Infrastructure
• Windows Server & Linux (RHEL) expertise
• Strong troubleshooting and systems analysis skills
• Knowledge of OS-level systems & infrastructure architecture
• Experience with Service Now, Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Automation-first mindset

• Maritime or cruise industry experience
• Active Directory administration
• Advanced Power Shell/Bash scripting
• Service Now integrations
• Enterprise monitoring platforms
• Large-scale Automic environments

Automation & Infrastructure: Terraform, AWX, Vault, Ansible
Monitoring: Cloud Watch, Splunk, App Dynamics, Elasticsearch, Grafana
Systems: Windows Server, Linux (RHEL)
Scripting: Power Shell, Bash
Tools: Service Now, Jira, Confluence, Active Directory
Nice to Have: Go, Python, Node.js, Java (Spring MVC)

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field —or equivalent experience
• Preferred: AWS, Azure, VMware, or Microsoft certifications
