One of the world's most iconic entertainment and hospitality companies is searching for a Sr. Systems Engineer to join their Technology & Digital team in a hybrid capacity out of Kissimmee, FL
. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of technology, operational excellence, and guest experience by ensuring the reliability and performance of both shipboard and shoreside systems that power world-class vacation experiences. From Kubernetes provisioning and Dev Sec Ops  to cloud infrastructure and automation, you'll play a critical role in driving high-availability solutions across an incredibly dynamic and complex technology ecosystem.

This exciting opportunity to support cutting-edge systems engineering for a world-renowned brand begins as a 1-year W2 contract with strong potential for extension or conversion
. The role is hybrid, 3 days onsite per week (Tuesday–Thursday) in Kissimmee, FL and offers competitive benefits.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and implement applications and infrastructure solutions that support critical business operations
  • Install, configure, modify, and support operating systems, databases, and utility software across on-prem and cloud environments
  • Contribute to the architecture, evaluation, and design of scalable IT infrastructure used across a broad technology solution set
  • Build and maintain automation, software APIs, and tooling leveraged by internal engineering and creative teams
  • Support and maintain web, caching, and queuing technologies in large, high-traffic environments
  • Provision and manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads across both on-premises data centers and public cloud platforms
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with application, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver reliable, high-performing technology solutions
  • Mentor and guide teammates in analyzing and solving complex business and systems challenges
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and proactively apply new tools and methodologies to improve the environment
Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent work experience (required)
  • Certifications in AWS, Azure, VMware, Kubernetes, or related cloud technologies (preferred)
  • 5+ years of related systems engineering experience, including work on consumer and employee-facing enterprise systems
  • Expertise in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with hands-on experience across services such as Fargate, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, S3, EKS, VPCs, IAM, and KMS/Secrets Manager
  • Strong proficiency in Kubernetes, Rancher, and/or Red Hat Open Shift
  • Hands-on experience with Dev Sec Ops  practices and desired state configuration tools such as Chef, Ansible, or AWX
  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, or Harness
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code
    , particularly Terraform/Atlantis
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Power Shell, Go, Node.js, Java, or Ruby)
  • Familiarity with distributed version control systems, particularly Git
  • Experience supporting SQL and Oracle database technologies
  • Working knowledge of logging, monitoring, and alerting tools such as Cloudwatch
    , Splunk, App Dynamics, or Grafana
  • Experience with message queuing technologies such as RabbitMQ or Pub Sub
  • Familiarity with load balancing and CDN tools, including Akamai
  • Comfortable working within Agile delivery frameworks
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks (preferred)
  • Background in cruise, hospitality, or other high-availability, customer-centric industries (preferred)
