Senior Platform Engineer

Role Overview

The Senior Platform Engineer is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, operational support, and platform stability across critical cruise line technology systems. This role serves as a technical escalation point between vendors, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders, supporting vendor based operational applications used in cruise operations, logistics, telemetry, medical systems, and asset management environments.

Provide operational and technical support for vendor based software platforms supporting cruise operations, triage and troubleshoot production incidents, and maintain platform availability, operational stability, and overall system reliability.

This role offers the opportunity to support mission critical cruise operations in a dynamic, highly operational environment, utilizing advanced troubleshooting and platform support skills while contributing to system stability and operational excellence.

• 5+ years of advanced troubleshooting and operational support experience in enterprise production environments
• Strong experience supporting production applications and operational platforms
• Experience working with vendor supported enterprise systems and coordinating with external vendors
• Strong SQL/database experience, including writing and troubleshooting queries and scripts
• Hands on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle databases
• Working knowledge of Windows Server environments
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including connectivity troubleshooting, firewall concepts, and data flow analysis
• Experience with scripting and automation using Power Shell, Bash, Python, or similar technologies
• Excellent communication and cross functional collaboration skills
• Ability to rapidly learn and support niche operational applications
