About the Role

Leading Solutions is looking for an ambitious, adaptable, and highly motivated Associate Program Manager to join our Program Management Office (PMO). This is not an administrative support position. It is a leadership development opportunity designed to prepare the right individual to become a Program Manager and, ultimately, a Senior Program Manager responsible for leading multiple federal government contracts.

You will work directly alongside senior leadership, learning every aspect of government contract management while gaining experience in customer engagement, operations, staffing, compliance, business development support, and organizational leadership. We're looking for someone who wants to build a career, not simply fill a position.

No two days are alike.

One day you may be helping transition a newly awarded contract. The next, you may be coordinating with a government customer, resolving an employee issue, preparing executive reports, assisting Recruiting with a critical hire, or helping solve an operational problem before it impacts the customer.

Success in this position requires someone who enjoys solving problems, can think independently, and is comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Employees who demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, leadership potential, and the ability to independently manage increasing responsibility may be eligible for merit-based salary increases during these reviews.

Our objective is to develop this individual into a Program Manager and ultimately a Senior Program Manager capable of leading complex federal programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the successful execution of multiple federal government contracts.
  • Assist Program Managers with day-to-day contract operations.
  • Coordinate with government customers, Contracting Officers (COs), CORs, subcontractors, and internal departments.
  • Monitor deliverables, staffing levels, contract performance, and operational milestones.
  • Assist with employee onboarding, staffing actions, and workforce management.
  • Prepare reports, executive briefings, and customer communications.
  • Support quality assurance, compliance, and risk management initiatives.
  • Identify potential issues early and help develop practical solutions.
  • Coordinate activities with Recruiting, HR, Finance, Security, Contracts, and Executive Leadership.
  • Participate in contract transitions and startup activities.
  • Assist with proposal support and operational planning when required.
  • Learn every phase of the government contracting lifecycle.
We're looking for someone who
  • Takes ownership instead of waiting for direction.
  • Understands both the stated task and the implied task.
  • Has a strong sense of urgency and a "get it done" mentality.
  • Can manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the mission.
  • Thinks critically and solves problems independently.
  • Is resourceful and figures things out, even when the path forward isn't immediately obvious.
  • Builds trust through professionalism, consistency, and follow-through.
  • Possesses strong emotional intelligence and knows how to communicate with different personalities.
  • Understands how to build relationships and navigate customer environments with professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Can be politically aware without compromising integrity.
  • Represents the company well with government customers, teammates, partners, and executives.
  • Communicates clearly, confidently, and professionally.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and can be trusted with sensitive information.
  • Wants to continuously learn and grow.
  • Prior military leadership experience is highly valued because many of those leadership skills translate exceptionally well to this position. However, we are equally interested in candidates from any background who have demonstrated leadership, initiative, professionalism, political awareness, and a proven history of delivering results.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, military…
