Summary Of Overall Purpose

The Social Media Manager is responsible for leading the organization’s social media strategy and content creation to enhance brand awareness, grow channel audiences, and drive revenue and engagement. This role supports fundraising and ticket sales initiatives, creates compelling social video content, reports on analytics, and oversees the social media content calendar. The Social Media Manager provides insights through data analysis, leads editorial meetings, and develops social fundraising strategies to support an $11M development revenue portfolio.

Key

Accountabilities Social Media Content Strategy and Creation
  • Lead the development and execution of a social media content strategy to increase engagement, awareness, and revenue.
  • Create compelling short social media video content tailored to various platforms, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and goals.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to produce high-quality visuals, graphics, and multimedia that enhance audience experience.
  • Maintain the integrity of the organization’s voice and tone across all social media platforms.
Channel Growth and Fundraising Support
  • Implement strategies to grow followers and engagement across all social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tik Tok, and Linked In.
  • Evaluate platforms to expand audience reach.
  • Work closely with the Development team to support ticket sales, fundraising campaigns, and other revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Develop and execute social media fundraising efforts, including campaigns to maximize Facebook Donations and other platform-specific fundraising tools.
Content Calendar Management and Editorial Oversight
  • Manage the social media content calendar to ensure timely and consistent posting across all channels.
  • Lead weekly editorial meetings to review the content calendar, solicit input from stakeholders, and align on messaging priorities.
  • Ensure all content aligns with organizational goals, campaign objectives, and brand standards.
Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Provide weekly data and insights reports to leadership, highlighting key metrics, audience trends, and campaign performance.
  • Leverage analytics tools to track and measure the impact of social media efforts, identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Use insights to refine strategies and develop data-driven approaches to enhance performance.
Partnerships and Collaboration
  • Work with influencers, bloggers, and content creators to expand the organization’s reach and visibility.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Communications and creative teams to align social media efforts with overall marketing strategies.
  • Partner with external stakeholders as needed to develop creative campaigns and amplify engagement.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OUTSIDE NORMAL WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed for campaigns or events.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 20 lbs. for event-related materials or setup.
  • Flexibility to travel locally for influencer or partner collaborations as required.
Qualifications SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills with the ability to craft engaging content across platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing content calendars and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • A strong portfolio that showcases a variety of styles, types of work and strategy.
  • Proven success in creating and executing social media strategies that drive engagement and revenue.
  • Strong proficiency with video production and editing tools.
  • Proficiency with design software and technologies (such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Premiere; PowerPoint and the Pre-Press Process on both Mac and PC platforms).
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details.
  • Ability to be nimble and post in timely manner.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, including battery-operated golf cart.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must meet acceptable attendance and punctuality requirements, which are essential functions for the position.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organization.
  • Experience with analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Hootsuite) to track and report on performance metrics.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience in non-profit social media management or fundraising campaigns.
  • Familiarity with social media fundraising tools and strategies.
  • Knowledge of emerging social media trends and best practices for audience growth.
