Lead a high-acuity Neonatal Intensive Care Unit as a Nurse Manager, guiding a skilled team of RNs in providing exceptional care for critically ill newborns. This role offers leadership growth, operational oversight, and the opportunity to implement evidence-based practices that enhance patient safety and outcomes in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities- Direct daily NICU operations, ensuring quality, patient-centered care
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet patient care needs
- Monitor and evaluate nursing practices, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care and optimize admissions, discharges, and patient throughput
- Drive initiatives to improve patient safety, quality outcomes, and satisfaction
- Mentor, coach, and develop NICU nursing staff for professional growth
- Oversee equipment maintenance and operational compliance
- Administer operating expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and manage supply usage
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence in patient experience
- Implement strategies to improve patient and family satisfaction
Required:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license
- 4+ years NICU staff-level experience
- 2+ years acute care NICU leadership experience (within the last year)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months of hire
Preferred:
- Experience managing 20+ FTEs
- Proven ability to drive quality improvement initiatives
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
