“Advanced Practice Provider Role:”

The Oncology Institute is excited to continue our growth with the expansion of new clinic locations in Florida. As we broaden access to high quality, patient‑centered oncology care, we are seeking Advanced Practice Providers who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, advancing treatment through access to clinical trials, and practicing with the support of a strong, collaborative care team.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure patient information, visit history, referrals, lab follow‑up, phone calls, and consults are carefully and completely documented in the electronic medical record.
  • Conduct in‑depth interviews with patients and/or family, construct a comprehensive medical history, perform initial and periodic physical examinations, and explore patients’ interpretation of health needs. Identify and treat patients’ diseases.
  • Directly perform or order appropriate diagnostic studies and interpret finished results.
  • Develop and implement long‑ and short‑range treatment plans.
  • Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsy.
  • Instruct and counsel patients and families regarding preventive care, medical problems, psychological problems, and the use of prescribed treatments and medications.
  • Write orders to increase, decrease, or change medication, subject to checking and countersigning by a physician.
  • Identify and record pertinent progress of patients, update and summarize charts, change orders when appropriate, and notify the responsible physician of changes in the patient’s condition.
  • Assist with hospital call as needed.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in nursing.
  • Possession of a current certificate of completion from a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current and unrestricted license to practice.
  • Oncology experience preferred but not required.
  • National Certification required upon employment (Nurse Practitioners).
Compensation

The compensation listed reflects the base salary. Our Advanced Practice Providers are also eligible for semiannual performance incentive bonuses.
