You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations.

About the roleThe Medical Support Specialist works under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Center Physician. The role requires familiarity with plasma collection regulations and follows guidance provided by Bio Life Medical Affairs to provide center‑level support for environmental, health, and safety (EHS).
How You Will Contribute- Determine donor eligibility, including management of informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of the Center Physician’s standing orders and transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when required for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance concerning donor safety and eligibility.
- Support the Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine if further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER, following EHS guidance.
- Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a graduate‑equivalent recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Current licensure or certification in the state where responsibilities are assigned (Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA)).
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Compensation and Benefits SummaryU.S. hourly wage range: $24.32 – $33.44. The actual wage offered may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. U.S. employees may also be eligible for short‑term incentives and a range of benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, and well‑being benefits.
