Unit Highlights

This facility houses a 40+ bed Medical Progressive Care Stroke Unit in our new tower. Patient ratios depend on acuity and census ranging from 1:4-5. The Medical PCU team responds to the Rapid Response Team calls in a fast and efficient manner. This unit has an LPN Model and works together in a high energized family-oriented team alongside the rest of our whole team for best patient care outcomes.

Progressive Care serves all medical conditions within a well-equipped and spacious unit featuring computerized documentation technology. Floating may be required between PCU and ICU units based on census.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

• Associate’s of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor’s of Nursing [Preferred]

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
