Schedule and Location

Full time – nights (United States of America)

Schedule:

6:45 p.m. – 7:15 a.m., 3/12s, rotating weekends and holidays

Unit Highlights

This facility houses a 40‑plus bed Medical Progressive Care Stroke Unit in our new tower. Patient ratios depend on acuity and census, ranging from 1:4‑5.

The Medical PCU team responds to the Rapid Response Team calls in a fast and efficient manner.

This unit has an LPN model and works together in a high‑energized family‑oriented team alongside the rest of our whole team for best patient care outcomes.

Progressive Care serves all medical conditions within a well‑equipped and spacious unit featuring computerized documentation technology.

Floating may be required between PCU and ICU units based on census.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self‑care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
  • Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
Education
  • Associate’s of Nursing (required)
  • Bachelor’s of Nursing (preferred)
Work Experience
  • 1+ year acute care hospital setting (preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) – required
  • Basic Life Support – CPR Certificate (BLS) – required
