Job Description

• Provides ongoing education and training to nursing staff to maintain high competency levels.
• Prepares the unit for audits and surveys, by monitoring and maintaining unit compliance with regulatory standards, accrediting, hospital policies while coordinating staff education to maintain competencies and preparedness.
• Manages nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care.
• Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns and provide guidance.
• Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating ongoing service programs to ensure quality nursing and patient care.
• Manages budgets and resources efficiently to meet financial and operational goals.
• Manages assigned direct reports including recruitment, hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, development, education, competencies, performance evaluations, and payroll functions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must have extensive knowledge of surgeries within multiple service lines. [Required]
• Must pose strong organizational and logistic skills. [Required]
• Ability to lead others. [Required]
• Ability to function independently as an RNFA. [Required]
• Is highly knowledgeable of the assigned service line(s). [Required]

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

• Successful completion of an RNFA program sanctioned by AORN

• 3+ years of experience as a registered nurse. [Required]
• 2+ years as RN in an acute or setting. [Required]
• Prior leadership experience. [Preferred]

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred]
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Preferred]
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) [Required]
