Family Nurse Practitioner PRN Opportunity in Occupational Health
Position Overview
We are seeking an autonomous, experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide high-quality primary care and occupational health services to the employees and dependents.
Operating across our Kissimmee and St. Cloud health centers, you will manage a manageable daily caseload in a supportive, employer-sponsored setting. This role is per diem; while hours are not strictly guaranteed, our per diem providers are utilized heavily to support clinic coverage.
Location: Kissimmee, FL & St. Cloud, FL (On-site coverage across both clinics)
Setting: Employer-Based Primary Care & Occupational Health Clinic
Rate: $65 per hour
Key Responsibilities- Primary & Preventive Care: Conduct wellness visits, acute care evaluations, biometric screenings, and comprehensive health education for adults and dependents.
- Chronic Disease Management: Educate, treat, and monitor patients with ongoing chronic conditions.
- Occupational Health: Perform pre-employment evaluations, occupational health exams, and DOT physicals.
- Point-of-Care (POC) Testing & Pharmacy: Perform on-site diagnostic POC testing and oversee medication dispensing via our in-house health center pharmacy
- Collaborative Care: Partner with physicians, medical staff, and care teams to assess, plan, and deliver holistic patient treatment plans.
- Education: Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's/Post-Master's program and active RN licensure.
- Licensure & Certification: Active, unrestricted Florida Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license with the ability to practice autonomously.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner.
- Prior experience in Family Medicine or Employer-Based Outpatient Primary Care settings.
- Prescriptive Authority: Active prescriptive authority in Florida and an active DEA registration (or proof of application submitted).
- Dispensing Capability: Eligible to obtain or currently holding a Florida Practitioner Dispensing License for in-house medication dispensing.
- Certified DOT Medical Examiner status (or willing to obtain).
