Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on resort equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests, housekeeping, and other departments.
  • Diagnose and repair issues related to guest rooms, public areas, pools, kitchens, and back‑of‑house facilities.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and repair requirements.
  • Maintain and repair HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing fixtures, appliances, and electrical systems.
  • Ensure all equipment operates in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Support renovation projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades as needed.
  • Follow all OSHA regulations, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Collaborate with other departments to minimize operational disruptions and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Participate in emergency response activities and after‑hours maintenance support as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Technical or trade certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality, resort, facilities, or property maintenance environments.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and emergency call situations.
  • Experience using preventive maintenance systems such as Breezeway, Quore, or similar work‑order management platforms preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required to operate company vehicles, carts, and equipment throughout the resort property.
Safety Standards Requirements
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) – Strictly follow LOTO procedures when servicing or maintaining machinery, equipment, or electrical systems to prevent accidental startup or release of hazardous energy.
  • Chemical Safety & SDS – Maintain and comply with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) requirements for all chemicals used in maintenance operations, including pool chemicals, cleaning agents, and landscaping products, to ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – Consistently utilize required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, steel‑toe boots, protective clothing, and hearing protection, based on job duties and hazards.
  • Ladder & Fall Protection – Follow OSHA‑compliant fall protection standards when working at heights, including proper ladder usage and the use of harnesses and other protective equipment during elevated repairs or exterior work.
  • Confined Space Entry – Adhere to all permit‑required confined space procedures when inspecting or repairing underground utility vaults, crawl spaces, attics, or other restricted‑access areas.
  • Workplace Hazard Identification – Conduct “Point of Work” hazard assessments before beginning repairs to identify and mitigate risks to team members, guests, and property. Follow all safety procedures for hot work involving welding, soldering, or open flames.
