Equipment Maintenance Technician - Day Shift

Position Summary

Our Equipment Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing preventative maintenance, electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting, and installation of various semiconductor fabrication machines and equipment.

Training: E Shift: Monday‑Friday 8:00‑5:00 (approx. 3 months). Post training, you will be assigned to one of the following shifts:

• A Shift: Sunday‑Tuesday and every other Wednesday, 6:00‑18:15
• C Shift: Thursday‑Saturday and every other Wednesday, 6:00‑18:15

• This Equipment Maintenance Technician will support Advanced Technology Services and Wafer Services.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble semiconductor fabrication equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating and repair manuals.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to identify root cause problems and put corrective actions in place.
• Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance duties on semiconductor production equipment.
• Complete and maintain required documentation for quality standards.
• Rebuild equipment and sub‑assemblies as required.
• Perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
• Participate in Maintenance or cross‑functional teams such as 5S+ and CIP.
• Take ownership of small projects and equipment assembly tasks.
• Work with outside vendors as required.
• Process chemical and gas handling.
• Maintain critical spares and consumables inventory.

• 2 Year Technical/Associate’s Degree in Science, Math, Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing or a related discipline, or equivalent military training or work experience.
• 5+ Years of semiconductor equipment experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in performing electromechanical/fluidic circuit troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and equipment modification.
• Able to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and documentation; demonstrate solid work performance in an environment requiring a high level of attention to detail and timeliness.
• Ability to define, initiate, manage, and execute on projects to improve tool/equipment function and metrics. The ability to work in a cross‑functional team environment, prioritize tasks, and plan for maintenance is essential.
• Use hand tools including wrenches, calipers, voltage/current meters, oscilloscopes and other equipment technology specific tooling.

  This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts. Will start on E shift Monday‑Friday, 8‑hour days and move to A or C 12‑hour shift in the future.
• Ability to work with and around chemicals.
• Wear complete fab attire for an entire shift and meet all safety and cleanroom requirements.

• A strong understanding and working knowledge of the following equipment is also needed: pneumatic/hydraulic pump systems, multi‑axis servo systems, vision components, chillers & cooling systems.
• Familiarity with robotic/automated handling systems & high‑vacuum systems.
• Direct experience with one or more of the following types of semiconductor fabrication equipment: advanced semiconductor packaging, fan‑out wafer‑level packaging, hybrid bonding, photolithography, wafer bonding, wet etch, metrology, electroplate, PVD, CVD, dry etch, CMP, advanced packaging and test equipment.

Hourly range for this role: $29.00—$38.00 per hour. Pay offered is based on many factors, including but not limited to the job‑related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
