We are seeking a skilled Ultra-Pure Water Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of our ultra‑pure water (UPW) systems. This role ensures consistent production of high‑quality water critical to facility operations. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, technically knowledgeable, and comfortable working in an industrial environment.

Major Area of Accountability:

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain ultra‑pure water systems, including RO, DI, UV treatment, and polishing units.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on pumps, tanks, filters, sensors, and water treatment equipment.
  • Conduct water quality testing (TOC, resistivity, pH, conductivity, particulates) and ensure compliance with facility specifications.
  • Troubleshoot alarms, performance issues, and equipment failures; perform corrective actions or coordinate vendor repairs.
  • Maintain accurate logs, maintenance records, and water system documentation.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new water treatment equipment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, standard operating procedures, and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Assist with inventory management for chemicals, filters, tools, and system spare parts.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and facilities teams to improve system reliability and efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or technical/vocational school certificate required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in semiconductor (preferred), pharmaceutical, biomedical, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with Ultra Pure Water (UPW), RO, DI, ultrafiltration, EDI, UV, and microfiltration systems.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation, sensors, and automated control systems.
  • Ability to work independently in an industrial facility and respond to urgent system needs.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • US Citizenship

    Required:

    This position will require the holding of, or ability to obtain, a US government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Laboratory or water quality testing experience.

Physical Demands:
Lift and move processing equipment, applicable tools, office equipment, and some chemical drums. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
