QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in social work or related field
  • Bachelor's degree in social work (preferred)
  • Understanding of VA benefits, ranging from eligibility qualifications to successful appeals and appropriate documentation
  • Experience working with families facing homelessness and those struggling with concurrent substance abuse or mental health issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain to clients, family members, and professionals the case and care plan and maintain good case records
  • Clean driving record
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists clients in developing goals and areas of need, and long‑term plans
  • Works collaboratively with clients, families, counselors, and residential programs to ensure high‑quality care
  • Coordinates with third‑party payors on a regular basis
