The Visitation Center Observer position works with families who are court ordered to participate in the supervised visitation or monitored exchange program through the Court’s Visitation Center in Osceola County. Responsible for ensuring appropriate contact between families, observe interactions, and appropriately document events. Responsible for escorting children between the primary residential parent and visiting parent; supervise visits between the visiting parent and their children and assist with the weekend operations of the Supervised Visitation Center.

The ideal candidate will be a high school graduate, with two years in coursework towards a degree in education or any human services field, or a high school graduate with two years of progressively responsible experience in family/victims issues or related social service delivery program. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to remain neutral and interact successfully with diverse populations and age groups.

Bilingual:
Spanish and English a plus. Work is performed every weekend, except on holidays. Osceola County funded. No benefits /no holiday pay. Average 4 - 8 hours per week, except for holiday weeks.
