Lil Explorers is currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Transportation & Facilities Support Staff member. This is a multi-task position ideal for someone responsible, flexible, and committed to maintaining a safe and clean environment for children.
Position SummaryThis role includes driving the center vans for morning and afternoon transportation, assisting with facility cleaning and maintenance, and supporting weekend and evening operations as scheduled.
Key Responsibilities- Safely drive center vans for morning and afternoon pick-up and drop-off.
- Ensure all children are safely secured according to safety guidelines.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any concerns immediately.
- Maintain transportation logs and required documentation.
- Follow all DCF transportation regulations and safety policies.
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Deep clean classrooms and equipment as scheduled.
- Assist with maintaining overall center organization and cleanliness.
- Support preparation of classrooms and materials for the next school day.
- Work evening shifts as scheduled.
- Be available to work Saturdays as needed.
- Assist administration with general operational support.
- Follow all health and safety regulations at all times.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving a passenger van preferred.
- Must meet DCF background screening requirements.
- DCF 45hours Training.
- Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical cleaning tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.
- Strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.
