About the Role Pleasant Hill Academy is seeking a reliable and caring Private School Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school, field trips, and school-related activities. The ideal candidate is committed to student safety, maintains a professional attitude, and reflects Christian values through positive interactions with students, families, and staff.

• Safely transport students on assigned routes.
• Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly bus environment.
• Follow all Florida traffic laws and school transportation policies.
• Ensure students board, ride, and exit the bus safely.
• Maintain accurate route, mileage, and inspection records.
• Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and administration.
• Report accidents, incidents, maintenance concerns, or student behavior issues promptly.
• Assist with loading and unloading students when necessary.
• Transport students for field trips and special school events as assigned.

• Valid Florida Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements, or ability to obtain before employment.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to pass all required Level II background screening and drug testing.
• Ability to meet all Florida Department of Education and Department of Highway Safety requirements for school bus drivers.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with children of all ages.
• Commitment to supporting the mission and values of a Christian school.

• Previous school bus driving experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience working with children in an educational setting.

PAY RATE DETERMINED BY EXPERIENCE & REFERENCES
