CDL Class A Driver
Position SummaryWe are seeking a reliable, safety-driven CDL Class A Driver to support our local and regional fleet operations. This role is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of 53’, 48’ and 26’ trailers, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining strict adherence to DOT and FMCSA regulations.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong operational discipline, route execution, and professionalism, with the ability to perform in time-sensitive and customer-facing environments.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT and company safety standards.
- Safely operate 53’, 48’ & 26’ trailers across local and regional routes, including construction sites, warehouses, and customer locations.
- Ensure proper load securement in compliance with FMCSA cargo securement standards.
- Accurately verify and manage all shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), delivery receipts, and load confirmations.
- Execute pickups and deliveries on schedule while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route status, delays, or operational issues.
- Adhere to all company policies, as well as local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Represent the company professionally in all interactions with customers, vendors, and job site personnel.
- Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, incidents, or violations immediately to fleet management.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of assigned equipment.
- Assist with basic loading/unloading, trailer positioning, and yard movements as needed.
- Valid CDL Class A license (required)
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with a strong safety history
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred
- Experience operating 53’, 48 & 26’ trailers
- Working knowledge of local and regional roadways, traffic patterns, and delivery environments
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Intermediate proficiency in using AI tools to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall job performance
- Manual transmission commercial driving experience required
- Safety-first mindset with strong regulatory compliance awareness
- Dependable, professional, punctual, and accountable in daily operations
- Strong route execution and time management skills
- Effective communication with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail in documentation, inspections, and load handling
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment awareness preferred
- Daily operations within active construction sites, warehouses, and distribution environments
- Early start times and schedule flexibility based on operational demand
- High standard of professionalism and appearance in customer-facing environments
- Commitment to supporting integrated logistics, warehousing, and construction operations
