Scanning Clerk
On-site administrative opportunity in the insurance sector focused on high-volume document imaging and claims support. Afternoon shift in Waterloo. Responsible for mail preparation, high-speed scanning, document classification, and workflow monitoring using Microsoft Office and internal systems. Contract role with extension potential.
What is in it for you:
• Hourly salary of $17.60.
• 4-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
• Weekday schedule from 3 pm to 11 pm.

Responsibilities:
• Open, prepare, and sort incoming mail designated for digital imaging and further processing.
• Analyze document content to accurately identify the appropriate business unit.
• Apply correct tracking methodologies for specific mail streams and internal processes.
• Perform high-volume document scanning using high-speed scanning equipment.
• Monitor workflow queues and troubleshoot imaging issues as required.
• Ensure accurate categorization and indexing of documents within internal systems.
• Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive health, dental, wealth management, and insurance documentation.
• Lift and move scanned document boxes weighing approximately 20–30 lbs as required.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily processing deadlines.
• Perform additional tasks as required to support evolving business needs.
What you will need to succeed:
• High School Diploma required.
• 1–2 years of customer service or administrative experience.
• 1+ year of experience operating office equipment and troubleshooting minor hardware and software issues is considered an asset.
• Proven knowledge of business unit document types is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong overall PC skills.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn internal systems.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift boxes weighing 20–30 lbs.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
