Cost Accounting Analyst

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare, analyze, and communicate financial reports and key performance metrics.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities.
• Provide detailed financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Partner with leaders across multiple departments to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business initiatives.
• Monitor financial performance and investigate variances to budget and forecast.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives, enhancing reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Support month-end and year-end financial activities.
• Present financial insights and recommendations to management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• CPA designation completed or in progress is considered an asset, but not a requirement.
• Progressive experience in financial analysis, accounting, or business partnering roles.
• Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial modelling.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong systems proficiency.
  • Experience working with SAP S/4
    
    HANA is a big asset.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supporting operational stakeholders within a manufacturing or industrial environment is considered an asset.
