Responsibilities

Operating heavy equipment for the City; this includes dump truck, grader, loader, skid steer, excavator, hydro-vac, backhoe
Spreading salt and sand for ice control
Flushing sewer lines
Maintaining the municipal compost site
Road and street maintenance
Maintaining the Citys drainage system
Digging ditches, cemetery plots, and other digs
Loading and unloading trucks with supplies, equipment and other materials
Seasonal cleanup
Cleaning and maintaining sidewalks and roads
Assisting in the maintenance of equipment, water & sewer works and fire hydrants
May oversee seasonal employees as needed, sign off on competent operators
Carrying out daily safety procedures and documentation
Reporting daily activities and maintaining accurate records
Other duties as assigned
