Join United Rentals as a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech I) and apply your mechanical knowledge to keep rental equipment in top shape. You’ll also engage with customers to enhance their experience.
As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll perform essential maintenance tasks and minor repairs necessary for ensuring equipment is ready for rental. This hands-on role offers the chance for career advancement in our Service Department. You'll assist in demonstrating equipment to customers while ensuring that everything meets safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment
• Report equipment conditions to management
• Carry out minor repairs, including checking fluid levels
• Demonstrate equipment for customer understanding
• Assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent mandatory
• Valid driver's license with good record required
• Basic construction equipment knowledge is vital
• Mechanical aptitude and tool knowledge essential
• Strong communication and customer service skills required
