At GFL, the Lead Hand plays a crucial leadership role driving safety and productivity. This hands-on position involves advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and the supervision of day-to-day operations. Applicants should be prepared to coordinate repair tasks and maintain workflow efficiency while fostering an environment of learning and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee afternoon shift workflow and repair order prioritization

• Perform diagnostics and maintenance on heavy vehicles

• Diagnose complex systems using advanced fleet software

• Mentor apprentices on safety and workmanship standards

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with standards

Requirements:

• Valid 310T Truck and Coach License

• Ownership of tools is required

• 5+ years of experience in heavy vehicle maintenance

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Advanced technical knowledge of vehicle systems
