This role will empower you to lead repair services at the Kitchener-Waterloo Library of Things. You'll have direct impact as you mentor community members and facilitate hands-on workshops. Your expertise in repairs and ability to foster inclusive learning will be crucial in promoting a culture of sustainability and responsible consumption in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Repair small electrical appliances and power tools
• Instruct participants on DIY repairs
• Ensure compliance with safety standards
• Maintain organized and safe workspace
• Conduct assessments and prepare estimates for repairs
Requirements:
• 2+ years of repair and maintenance experience
• Experience mentoring peers
• Strong organizational skills
• Effective communicator
• Ability to lift 40 lbs comfortably
