Industrial automation demands precise wiring and troubleshooting from a Licensed Electrician building custom control panels and machinery. Work hands-on with engineering and assembly teams.
At SAMST, you will assemble, wire, install, troubleshoot, and service automation equipment for manufacturing applications. The position requires industrial control panel experience, electrical schematics knowledge, and Ontario Electrical Code understanding. You will primarily work independently, addressing complex challenges with senior technical resources while mentoring apprentices.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble and install control panels and electrical enclosures
- Wire machinery according to schematics, specifications, and applicable codes
- Troubleshoot systems during machine build and testing
- Maintain red-line drawings through build and debug phases
- Mentor apprentices on technical and safe work practices
- 442A or 309A Ontario-recognized electrician license
- Third- or fourth-year apprentices may be considered
- Experience wiring industrial control panels and machinery
- Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Valid driver’s license and passport for travel
