This role offers a unique opportunity to lead monitoring projects and mentor a dedicated team within a remote environment.
As the Senior Environmental Monitor, you’ll report directly to the Environmental Manager while ensuring the mine’s environmental objectives are met. Your extensive experience enables you to effectively supervise surface and groundwater monitoring, as well as oversee landscaping and wildlife mitigation efforts. Lead by example in promoting environmental compliance and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform key environmental monitoring and sampling
• Manage and guide junior environmental personnel
• Oversee compliance with mining regulations
• Conduct wildlife and vegetation assessments
• Analyze and interpret environmental data reports
Requirements:
• Diploma/degree in Environmental Science or related discipline
• At least 5 years of environmental monitoring expertise
• Familiarity with environmental databases and reporting
• Proven leadership in active construction or mining settings
• Ability to work in rugged outdoor conditions
