Job Description
Position Title: STEM Teacher – 1 Year Position
Location: Mitchell, Kittery Point, Maine
Reports to: Building Principal

Job Type: Full‑time
Responsibilities- Create a thorough STEM curriculum incorporating science, math, engineering, and technology using the most recent Maine Learning Results and Next Generation Science Standards.
- Teach elementary students with a nurturing, collaborative approach, communicating effectively with adults and children from diverse ethnic and socio‑economic backgrounds.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to support the Kittery School District Vision 2030.
- Support students’ transition into the 4‑12 STEM program and beyond high school.
- Experience teaching elementary students.
- Knowledge of the most recent Maine Learning Results and Next Generation Science Standards.
- Ability to use technology to develop and deliver STEM curriculum.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with adults and children from diverse backgrounds.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
Certification: 020 (or certifiable in the State of Maine).
