Educational Technician II

The Kittery School District is currently seeking an Educational Technician II to work with students in the Functional Lifeskills program who struggle with various functional challenges throughout their school day. Responsibilities include supporting Special Education Teachers in implementing students' Individual Education Plans, collecting data, following behavior support plans, and instructing students in various content areas as assigned. This role works closely with elementary students in grades K-3 with varying academic, developmental, and functional needs, including communication disorders, and may need to work 1:1 or in small groups.

At times, this person may need to assist with leading the class if the teacher steps away for a special education meeting. Students are supported in all settings, including the general education classroom. Working with students and helping them to achieve independence must be a top priority for anyone seeking this position.
