Duties Help
* You will be responsible for coordinating all phases of the work to insure an orderly and timely flow of information.
* You will prepare documents or containment design sketches which provide requirements and special instructions pertaining to the fabrication requirements.
* You will design or approve containments to ensure the design is sufficient for the task by validation ship check or jobsite check.

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

* This is a bargaining unit position.
* You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
* Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
* Experience demonstrating a thorough practical knowledge of radiological emergencies and their consequences, nuclear propulsion plant systems, components and supporting systems;
* Experience with overhaul and refueling/defueling of Naval nuclear Propulsion Plants procedures, naval supply systems, and the Shipyard budgetary systems;
* Experience providing technical direction on the engineering aspects of radiological controls in the event of a refueling radiological emergency.
* Experience consulting with planners, schedulers, engineers, procurement specialists, shop personnel, outside contractors, military personnel and other facilities. For the GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
* Experience with radiological aspects associated with the overhaul and refueling/defueling of Naval Propulsion Plants;
* Experience demonstrating knowledge of radiological control procedures and practices; experience consulting with planners, schedulers, engineers, procurement specialists, shop personnel, outside contractors, military personnel and other facilities;
* Experience with overhaul and refueling/defueling of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plants procedures, naval supply systems, and the Shipyard budgetary systems.
