This team provides support in the areas of Administration, Program Management, Engineering, and Logistics Programs associated with life cycle maintenance, modernization, and modification of Naval ships, unique platforms, new construction units and support facilities for Submarine Maintenance Engineering, Planning and Procurement (SUBMEPP), an independent field activity of the Naval Sea Systems (NAVSEA) Command that is aligned under Program Executive Office Attack Submarines (PEO SSN).
SUBMEPP’s mission is to keep assigned Naval ships and submersibles safe, reliable, and affordable through use of its engineered life cycle maintenance and modernization products and services. SUBMEPP performs technical duties and responsibilities to provide and maintain engineered life cycle maintenance products in direct support of the Fleet, shipyards, industrial facilities, and NAVSEA.
Submarine Maintenance Engineering Planning & Procurement (SUBMEPP) facility in the area of Maintenance Instruction Documents (MIDS) Publications. This position will assist with the publishing of Maintenance Standards, Test Procedures, and other MIDS products as assigned.
Essential Functions- Provide desk‑top publishing services to incorporate electronic MID mark‑ups into draft electronic format.
- Work within Windchill using Arbortext to prepare and manage updates for Maintenance Standards.
- Clean up and burst converted MIDS into the latest electronic format.
Education and Experience
- HS diploma or equivalent GED.
- Familiarity with SUBMEPP Maintenance Standards (MSs) and SUBMEPP Test Procedures or knowledge about submarine Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems is a plus.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite.
- Proficient with Adobe Pro and the manipulation of PDFs.
- Familiar with PTC Windchill and Arbortext is a plus.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD Security Clearance and required access to all worksite locations. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
