Job Overview
Be part of the team behind the game. Blue Mantis is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Network Systems Engineer to support enterprise‑class data centers and ensure seamless network operations. This role focuses on ensuring high availability and performance of network infrastructure while contributing to game‑day success. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and able to multitask and reprioritize in real‑time in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.
ScheduleWork schedule includes working weekends and holidays. Onsite schedule 1st shift, 7 AM to 4 PM on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at MT Laurel, NJ.
Key Responsibilities- Server Administration:
Manage and maintain Windows, Linux, and Unix environments to ensure optimal performance. - Cloud Operations:
Administer cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and O365 for enterprise workloads and containerization. - Virtualization:
Manage, configure, and troubleshoot VMware‑based environments to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and availability of virtualized infrastructure. - System Monitoring:
Leverage platforms such as Solar Winds and Data Dog to ensure network reliability and performance. - Incident Management:
Lead network‑related incident resolution, ensuring SLAs are met and escalating issues when necessary. - Security Best Practices:
Implement and support secure networking solutions, ensuring robust protection in on‑premise and cloud environments. - Documentation:
Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including topology maps and procedures for troubleshooting.
- Strong experience with Cisco Nexus, Arista, and Meraki switches;
Cisco wireless controllers;
Windows, Linux, and Unix environments using the Service Now ticketing system. - Strong experience in NOC operations with expertise in Windows, Linux, and Unix environments using Service Now.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, O365, VMware) and virtualization/containerization technologies.
- Backup and DR support:
Experience supporting and troubleshooting backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Rubrik and Zerto, ensuring data protection and system resilience. - Hands‑on experience with firewalls, routing protocols, and network monitoring tools like Solar Winds.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to adapt to dynamic priorities.
- Network troubleshooting in data center environments (Cisco, Palo Alto, Meraki).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Power Shell, Bash) for automating server and cloud operations.
- Familiarity with cloud‑based networking solutions in AWS, Azure, or O365 environments.
- Knowledge of infrastructure capacity planning and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration for managing distributed applications.
- Familiarity with security best practices, SIEM platforms, and endpoint protection.
- Experience with advanced video streaming technologies and CDNs.
- Familiarity with infrastructure performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Provide game‑day support on major holidays when games are played.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands‑on experience. - Certifications:
CCNA, CCNP (or equivalent), ITIL, and technical certifications in servers and/or cloud (preferred). - Experience:
Demonstrated expertise in a complex, multisite environment.
