Job Overview

Network Systems Engineer to support multiple customers based in the NJ/Philadelphia PA area. The ideal candidate will be proficient in supporting various systems and applications, including server and cloud environments, and should also have experience with networking. This team supports a wide array of technologies to meet the needs of our customers' large enterprise network environments.

Location: Onsite, NJ/Philadelphia PA area.

Employment Type: Full Time.

Compensation: $120,000 - $165,000 / year.

• Server Administration: Manage and maintain Windows, Linux, and Unix environments to ensure optimal performance.
• Cloud Operations: Administer cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and O365 for enterprise workloads and containerization.
• Virtualization: Manage, configure, and troubleshoot VMware-based environments to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and availability of virtualized infrastructure.
• System Monitoring: Leverage platforms such as Solar Winds and Data Dog to ensure network reliability and performance.
• Incident Management: Lead network-related incident resolution, ensuring SLAs are met and escalating issues when necessary.
• Security Best Practices: Implement and support secure networking solutions, ensuring robust protection in on-premise and cloud environments.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including topology maps and procedures for troubleshooting.

• Strong experience: Cisco Nexus/Arista/Meraki Switches, Cisco Wireless Controllers, Windows, Linux, and Unix environments using the ServiceNOW ticketing system.
• Hands‑on experience: Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, O365, VMware) and virtualization/containerization technologies, Infoblox, DNS, and remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Backup and DR Support: Experience supporting and troubleshooting backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Rubrik and Zerto.
• Hands‑on experience: Firewalls, routing protocols, and network monitoring tools like Solar Winds.
• Automation and scripting: Familiarity with automation tools and scripting.
• Problem‑solving: Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to adapt to dynamic priorities.

• Network troubleshooting: In data center environments (Cisco, Palo Alto, Meraki, Arista).
• Scripting languages: Python, Power Shell, Bash for automating server and cloud operations.
• Cloud‑based networking: Familiarity with solutions in AWS, Azure, or O365 environments.
• Capacity planning: Knowledge of infrastructure capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Container orchestration: Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and related technologies.
• Security: Familiarity with security best practices, SIEM platforms, and endpoint protection.
• Video streaming technologies: Experience with advanced video streaming technologies and CDNs.
• Performance tuning: Familiarity with infrastructure performance tuning and capacity planning.

• Game day support: Provide support on major holidays when games are played.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Certifications: CCNA, CCNP (or equivalent), ITIL and technical certifications in servers and/or cloud (preferred).
• Experience: Demonstrated expertise in a complex, multisite environment.

This range is based on our market pay structures. Salaries are determined by business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
