Lifting and Handling Superintendent

You will serve as a LIFTING AND HANDLING SUPERINTENDENT in the RIGGING AND OPERATIONS DIVISION (CODE 740), LIFTING AND HANDLING DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

• Experience managing, directing, and stabilizing a large multi-tiered industrial service organization.
• Experience analyzing industrial capacity, forecasting manpower, and developing competitive cost estimates and bid packages for complex, multi-million-dollar ship overhaul projects.
• Experience working on weight handling, rigging, and maritime diving services.
• Experience applying NAVSEA, OSHA, and nuclear safety regulations sufficient to evaluate, interpret, and formulate division-wide operational policies, standard operating procedures, and safety controls.
• Experience establishing financial tracking procedures and following federal budget parameters and cost estimation protocols.
