PositionSummary
The Part-Time Shift Leader will assist in day-to-day store operations, providing leadership to the team and ensuring smooth running of the store in the absence of a manager. Alongside the responsibilities of a sales associate, you will take on additional duties such as closing the store, guiding the team, and ensuring customer satisfaction and sales goals are met.
Key Responsibilities- Core Sales Associate Responsibilities:
- Represent and promote the Mexicali Blues brand with positivity and enthusiasm.
- Greet and engage with customers, offering product information and assisting with purchases.
- Operate the cash register and process customer transactions accurately.
- Assist with theft prevention and ensure the store remains a secure and safe space.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, including managing dressing rooms.
- Participate in store meetings and contribute to the overall team dynamic.
- Lead store operations during shifts when the Store Manager is unavailable, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer service.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including securing the store, handling cash, and completing end-of-day paperwork.
- Support and motivate sales associates, providing guidance and fostering a positive working environment.
- Help train new team members in store procedures, customer service, and sales techniques.
- Provide feedback to staff on performance and assist with resolving customer service issues.
- Strong customer service orientation with a "glass half full" attitude.
- Comfortable with technology, including point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Ability to stay organized and efficient in a fast‑paced environment.
- Able to stand for 6-8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to take on leadership responsibilities, motivate staff, and make decisions independently when required.
- Shifts are available Monday through Sunday, including one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).
- Shifts may include holidays and cover store opening to closing times.
- Part‑time (expected hours: 15–35 per week).
