Retail Store Manager

Position Overview

As a Store Manager at LindtUSA, you will join a dynamic team focused on delivering a premium in‑store experience. You will be responsible for achieving and exceeding the store’s sales plan while ensuring profitable operations and superior customer service.

• Sales
  • Ensure the store meets or exceeds weekly, monthly, and annual sales budgets.
  • Communicate the sales mission clearly to store staff and translate it into actionable terms.
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to upsell and cross‑sell products.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of product offerings to communicate features and benefits.
  • Identify and capture external sales opportunities, including business-to-business contacts and networking events.
• Customer Service
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of chocolate products, ingredients, flavor profiles, and production processes.
  • Assist customers in selecting chocolate products that meet their preferences and needs.
  • Monitor and promptly report customer or product issues to management.
• Staff Development
  • Partner with the District Manager on hiring, managing, and developing store personnel in accordance with Lindt & Sprüngli guidelines.
  • Motivate staff, build brand commitment, and hold them accountable for key KPIs and sales opportunities.
  • Develop a talent pool to prepare for staffing gaps due to promotions, peak seasons, and turnover.
• Operational Controls
  • Full P&L responsibility for the business.
  • Cash management, including POS, paperwork, vendor logs, and policies & procedures.
  • Monitor and report stock levels to avoid out‑of‑stocks, overstocks, or dated product.
  • Ensure audit compliance (DM store visits, loss prevention, food safety), payroll/labor management, store scheduling, and expense control.
  • Initiate restocking of shelves, monitor date codes and pricing.
  • Perform store maintenance and cleaning.
  • Comply with all quality assurance policies and procedures.

• Experience:
  
  Prior retail experience, especially in a specialty environment; minimum 2years of management experience; prior POS system experience.
• Skills & Knowledge:
  Proven sales and/or customer service background; demonstrated success in a management role; basic math computation; strong communication with customers and team members; prioritization and time‑management; ability to delegate and execute through others.
• Education:
  
  High school graduate or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Background screening required prior to employment.

• Regularly lift, carry, and/or move up to 10pounds.
• Frequently lift, carry, and/or move up to 35pounds.
• Occasionally lift, carry, and/or move up to 50pounds.
• Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with arms.
• Must be available to work nights, weekends (Saturday and Sunday), and holidays.

• Hourly compensation $22–$30, depending on experience and location.
• Competitive bonus program – monthly bonus payout based on store performance.
• Annual bonus payout based on company financial performance.
• Optional long‑term incentive may be included in the compensation package.
