SALES ASSOCIATE (part-time) – You will be the face of the company, highlighting our brand and helping to build a reputation for valuing customers and their opinions. You will assist customers and help them recognize the need for our products and services. You should be capable of learning about what we sell and articulate our purpose in an educational, insightful, and professional manner.

• CUSTOMER SERVICE – Proactively engage with customers, ask questions, listen to customer needs, and direct them to merchandise. Inform customers about upcoming events, promotions, mobile offers, STAR card, etc. Provide premier customer service. Cooperate with and build positive, inclusive, respectful relationships; take accountability for your actions and outcomes.
• ORGANIZATION – Maintain store appearance.
• SALES – Cross-sell products and know the store layout. Make suggestions based on customer needs. Upsell products. Learn product features, stay updated on trends, and confidently provide product knowledge, specs, and benefits. Use a Point-of-Sales system, process transactions, and handle cash, discounts, gift cards, credit/debit card payments, and cash reconciliation. Complete relevant paperwork, reports, and reconciliations.
• INVENTORY – Be the keeper of merchandise; complete inventory processes and ensure items are checked in and accurately ticketed. May participate in periodic inventories.
• DEPENDABILITY – Adherence to assigned work schedule; follow through on assignments. Perform other duties as assigned.

• PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE – Basic knowledge of products and merchandise.
• EXPERIENCE – Retail experience preferred but not required.
• COMMUNICATION SKILLS – Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills. Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules and manuals. Ability to communicate with customers, peers, and management. Ability to communicate on the telephone with proper etiquette.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS – Basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• REASONING ABILITY – Ability to multi-task, stay attentive to customers, and adapt to business needs. Work well in a team and take initiative with/without direct supervision.

• Constant movement, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for extended periods (at least two consecutive hours).
• May involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Vision includes close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Involves lifting 25–50 lbs in some departments.
• Work is typically indoors but may be outdoors depending on location.

Available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
