Marine Mammal Monitor – Infrastructure

• Watch for marine mammals during pile driving operations as the primary duty.
• Identify and document marine mammal sightings.
• Communicate sightings to other observers.
• Use binoculars and a compass to locate and identify species of marine mammals and bearings.
• Observe for long periods of time.
• Report animal sightings effectively and accurately.
• Maintain any required logs.
• Outfit and maintain proper safety equipment.
• Other duties as required.

• Minimum of one Biology class; course work in marine biology preferred.
• Computer and mobile technology preferred.
• Flexible schedule.
• Must also have a vehicle and cell phone.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Must be able to work all daylight hours.
