Equipment Operator

Position Summary: The Equipment Operator is responsible for safe and technically proficient operation of equipment assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with all Safety policies and procedures including reporting accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Complete equipment condition reports and a daily checklist of work to be done on equipment and provide to the Project Superintendent daily.
- Clean machines regularly: sweep cabs and remove trash daily, clean interior weekly, lubricate doors and windows bi-weekly.
- Understand and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures; know utilities within work zone; be responsible for own safety and safety of others.
- Inform Superintendent or Foreman daily of equipment fuel status so the fuel truck can be scheduled for the next morning.
- Make note on equipment report and inform Superintendent if supplies (grease, oil, rags, cleaning supplies) or machine cleaning is needed.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years Operator Experience in Heavy/Civil Construction.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles.
- Team player with strong interpersonal and verbal skills.
- Reliance on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Dedicated and hard working.
- Strong commitment to success of all.
- Strong work ethic.
- Professionalism in representation.
